About Parker Music Academy

Since 2007 we have helped hundreds of students begin and continue on their musical journey. We know you are busy and it can be very hard to find a reliable music teacher. Meet the Founder

Bill Engel is the Owner and Founder of Parker Music Academy. In 2007, Bill joined his two lifelong passions of music and teaching together, and created Parker Music Academy. Bill has a B.A. in Music Education from Arizona State University, and has dedicated his life to spreading the joy of music. Bill is an avid traveler and has been to 49 out of the 50 United States, and has traveled the world with his family. He loves to scuba dive, and is fascinated with the history of the Egyptian Pharaohs.

Meet the Director

Stephan Hume has spent his life exploring the heart of learning to play music. From a young age, music guided him through a challenging upbringing. Parker Music is part of his life's passion to give that back. He selectively finds fun, patient teachers and matches them with students of all backgrounds who want to give music a try. After studying music at the University of Colorado, he learned that many paths can lead to the same goal; finding a deep love for playing music. Some students just want a fun friend to laugh with and share the journey. Others want to know the ins, the outs, and the bigger theory behind it."
