NEW! Music Tip of the Month: VOCALISTS
Memorizing lyrics doesn’t have to feel like a chore! Try these enjoyable techniques to make the process easier. First, break the song into smaller sections and focus on one part at a time, which can make it less overwhelming.
Use mnemonics to create memorable associations or stories for tricky lines; linking lyrics to personal memories can enhance recall. Singing along with a lyric sheet or karaoke track helps you familiarize yourself with the song, and you can gradually reduce your dependence on the text. Additionally, visualize the lyrics as a story or images to create a mental picture that aids memorization.
Regularly testing yourself by singing or reciting the lyrics without looking can reinforce your memory and boost your confidence. Our vocal instructors are here to guide you in mastering these techniques and making lyric memorization fun and effective. Happy singing, and enjoy the journey of learning!

Giving Back Through Music: A Harmonious Partnership
Dear Parents, At our music lesson school, we believe in the power of music to inspire, connect, and uplift. Each month, we are proud to donate a portion of your tuition to the Dumb Friends League, an organization dedicated to helping animals in need find loving homes.
This partnership not only reflects our commitment to service but also reinforces the values we strive to instill in our students: compassion, responsibility, and joy. Imagine your child not only learning the beauty of music but also contributing to a cause that stands for the humane treatment of animals.
The Dumb Friends League emphasizes the importance of kindness and community, values that resonate deeply within our school. With every lesson, your child is not just growing as a musician but also as a caring individual—what a powerful lesson in empathy! Our talented, patient teachers are here to make learning music a fun and enriching experience. We believe that by nurturing both musical talent and a sense of community responsibility, we are setting the stage for well-rounded individuals.
We invite you to share your ideas on how we can further support the Dumb Friends League as our music school continues to grow. Whether it’s hosting a fundraiser, organizing a pet supply drive, or volunteering together, your input is invaluable.
Let’s make a difference—together, we can create a symphony of compassion in our community. With gratitude, Parker Music Academy
RECENT REVIEWS
“Our two kids (5, 7) have been taking piano lessons for about 6 months at the Music Academy. They love it! They have learned quite a bit about reading music and the piano. Noah even took the time to tune our daughter’s Ukulele and use it during one of her lessons to discuss rhythm. She loved it! On occasions where we can’t make the lesson we can do a virtual (live or recorded) lesson or choose to do a makeup later. They have a great online system to share lessons and video files. The teachers always share how the kids are progressing each lesson. The staff are all wonderful!!” - Jenny, LSM Parent
“Parker Music Academy provided a warm, open-hearted environment for me to take voice lessons and learn new techniques and skills as a vocalist. The cards they mailed, welcoming and thanking me for joining their academy was so refreshing! Thank you! As my instructor, Amelia is a breath of fresh air, so enthusiastic, supportive, kind and knowledgeable.” - Margaux, LSM Student
