CELEBRATION REVIEW

DIRECTOR WRITES NEW BOOK

After 20 years of teaching music and working with thousands of families, Director Stephan Hume has seen just about everything—including the misfires, missteps, and silly traps that can come with music lessons.

Now, he’s turned those experiences into a new book: The Top 10 Music Lesson Myths: BUSTED.

Designed to educate, entertain, and ease minds, the book combines practical advice with fun stories, student anecdotes, and a foreword written by a former parent and student.

And the best part? It’s completely free!

Families can request a copy and discover a few of the biggest myths about music lessons—straight from someone who’s spent 20 years in the studio.

MUSIC TIP OF THE MONTH

For Percussionists

As the weather gets cooler and drier in the fall, drumheads and sticks can lose moisture, which can affect tone and response. Keep your sticks in a stick bag and store your drum in a consistent indoor environment to help maintain good sound and prevent splitting.
