Why Choose Parker Music Academy?
What do Beethoven, a first-time piano student, and a busy parent all have in common? They’d feel right at home at Parker Music Academy. Since 2007, the academy has helped students of all ages explore music through private lessons in piano, guitar, voice, drums, strings, brass, and more—all in one welcoming location. Flexible scheduling seven days a week means lessons fit real life, not the other way around. Structured programs like the Singer’s Edge vocal curriculum keep progress clear and motivating, while free recitals and open mics give students a chance to shine. With experienced instructors, friendly staff, and a supportive atmosphere, Parker Music Academy makes learning music feel less intimidating and a lot more fun—for students and families alike.

Music Tip of the Month: Percussionists
As winter rehearsals ramp up, it’s easy to focus on notes and rhythms while overlooking the physical demands of percussion playing. Cold temperatures can stiffen muscles and joints, increasing the risk of tension and injury, especially in the hands, wrists, and shoulders. Take time to warm up your body before you warm up your sticks. Be mindful of grip pressure, as cold hands often lead to squeezing harder than necessary. Keep instruments and mallets stored properly to avoid warping or damage from dry indoor air. A little extra attention to your body and gear during the winter months will help keep your playing relaxed, healthy, and consistent all season long.
Recital Highlights
On December 6th, we had a wonderful group of students perform in our holiday recital. The performances were inspiring, and the excitement in the room made for memories that will last a lifetime. From first-time performers to more experienced musicians, every student brought something special to the stage. We were especially thrilled to have more adult students perform than ever before. Seeing musicians of all ages share their progress and courage is one of the most rewarding parts of these events. Be sure to stay tuned for our next recital, and start preparing something to share. We can’t wait to hear what you’ll bring to the stage next.
